Experience: Blend your own …

I love my travel, I love my wine and I love a great wine tour. I was fortunate enough to visit Marlborough wine country in New Zealand. It was wonderful. Great vineyards, great people, beautiful sites and life changing experiences.

One of my most memorable was visiting a winery called Wither Hills. We sat in the cellar, in huge decorative chairs around a large table with ornate light fixtures – it was full of ambience. We were each provided with 3 samples of Sauvignon Blanc each from a single vineyard. Gooseberries, citrus, grass – all full of flavor and aroma. We were tell given beakers and asked to make our own blends to taste how the wine changes depending on the vineyard. It was truly exciting. I loved every minute of it.
