I love me a random

Summer in the city.  Great times.  We do not always need to travel far or have a defined travel plan to have fun and enjoy life especially when funds are limited.  I am a proponent of rediscovering your city- be a tourist on your streets by stepping out and doing things that you may not normally do.  These are the experiences in life that make life truly enjoyable as well as create a fiscally friendly solution to travel.   My motto, Live it – Love it – and Make it a Random.  When my friends and I do not have plans and we send that last minute text to get together – our toast to the first drink is always “I love me a random”.  Here are top 3 travel at home “randoms” that you may enjoy.

1. Sunday morning wake up call … Blue Grass Brunch. All you can eat breakfast good at The Dakota Tavern. Cost – under $15.00.  Fun music, great vibe, too much food.

2. After work call for drinks and sushi at Blow Fish on King St. West. Great food, nice patio, and giggles with friends.

3. Sun seekers no beach required to bask in the sunshine.  Not all fun has to do with food and drink (surprise) organize a pick of game of anything, Ultimate Frisbee, football, soccer in a park, my Toronto recommendation is Trinity Bellwoods.

What is your idea of a random in your city?

About the Author

I don't travel to escape I travel to self discover. To see different parts of the world to build my personal tool kit. I enjoy the path less travelled to truly learn about the traditions and nuances of my fellow citizens of this great world. Born and raised in Toronto of Trinidadian descent I never forget my roots and as much as I love leaving on that jet plane I always find satisfaction in coming home to my great city to share the tales of my great adventures with my friends and family.
