Hotel Arlanda: The Jumbo Jet Hostel in Stockholm, Sweden
Ever fancied getting a bit naughty on an airplane but don’t fancy cramming yourself into an tiny, awkward toilet that’s been used by a load of your sweaty fellow passengers? Well, Hotel Arlanda might just be your ticket to a bit of mile high fun. The now retired jumbo jet houses 25 separate rooms, each kitted out with a flat screen TV, comfy beds and wireless broadband.
You can even opt to spent a night in the cockpit (oo-er) happy wheels demo – an exclusive room with private bathroom.
Many of the original parts of the plane are still in place – the original first class seats and lounge bar are on-board so you can order light snacks and a few drinks in style. If you’re tightening the purse strings, you can even bring your own food and use their microwave ovens at your leisure.
New rooms are to be built soon in the engine compartments, where the original rotor blades will be used as ventilation.
