Where do you get your travel inspirations?

I often get asked “where” is your next trip. I usually say “I’m not sure”. So many places to see, so little time and sometimes limited funds.

My bucket list is long and let’s be honest I want to go everywhere and anywhere – all the time. I have a real “hot foot”.  I get my travel inspirations in so many places and in so many ways.

I was in a shop last Saturday and I walked by a brochure on the food and wine of Spain. Bliss. Everything looked so amazing.  The first page was entitled “Sensational Spanish Wine & Tasty Tapas”.

Rioja, Garnacha, Tempranillo … Marinated eggplant montaditos, chorizo stuffed bombs with spicy roasted red pepper sauce and aioli, seared scallop and baby potato pil pil… My mouth is watering just retelling this story…ahhh #foodgasm.  I like my wine and love my food.

I think my next trip may just have to be Spain based on these amazing recipes and wine picks.

You would have thought living in London I would have made a weekend trip or two. Nope. I never did.

Inspiration in sometimes the most unexpected places and for me sometimes through my stomach.

About the Author

I don't travel to escape I travel to self discover. To see different parts of the world to build my personal tool kit. I enjoy the path less travelled to truly learn about the traditions and nuances of my fellow citizens of this great world. Born and raised in Toronto of Trinidadian descent I never forget my roots and as much as I love leaving on that jet plane I always find satisfaction in coming home to my great city to share the tales of my great adventures with my friends and family.
