We just wrote a\"\"\u00a0blog not too long ago about Northeast Americans destined for a lot and sun in the month of December<\/a> and thought it was only appropriate to follow up with a comical yet useful guide (or tips) on your\u00a0favorite\u00a0Caribbean people… Jamaicans!<\/p>\n

Jamaica, is the 4th largest island nation of the Greater Antilles, 234\u00a0kilometers\u00a0in length, up to 80\u00a0kilometers\u00a0in width, and 10,990 square\u00a0kilometers\u00a0in area.. In between these distances live a great nation people who have raised the worlds fastest man<\/a>\u00a0and pioneered a culture that has been played, sung and danced to in every home, bar, club…(you get the point) in the world.<\/p>\n

We came across this quirky site Things Jamaicans Love\u00a0<\/strong>and felt it was our civil duty to share a thing or two of what Jamaicans actually love. This guide will definitely give you an idea of the type of local culture you are about to embark on. Come on, you know that iDidGo<\/a> always thinks of our community first!<\/p>\n

One breas\u2019 an\u2019 wing, food an\u2019 stew beef gravy!\u00a0 If you\u2019ve never heard these or similar words then you\u2019ve never ordered an authentic Jamaican lunch in an authentic Jamaican cook shop\u2026 and you have my sympathies. For the uninitiated, let me translate. What was being requested was two small fried chicken lunches, and instead of being accompanied with chicken gravy, one was to be smothered in curry chicken gravy and the other in stew beef gravy.<\/p>\n

Fried Chicken with curry gravy?! You may be wondering what would motivate a person to place such a strange order. Well, the first thing you should know is that fried chicken, stew beef and curry goat\/chicken are perennial lunch time favourites in any Jamaican restaurant\/cook shop.<\/p>\n
